8TH GRADE GIRLS CHOIR (FA1GC8) All girls are welcome to join the 8th Grade Choir. There are no auditions! This is an exciting, energetic class where students master the fundamentals of singing, sight-reading, and vocal musicianship. Concepts and musical repertoire will be advanced. Performance opportunities include- Fall Concert, North Park Concert, Highlander Festival, Pop Concert, Spring Festival Field Trip, All-Region Choir, UIL Solo & Ensemble, UIL Contest, and performances around the campus and community. Raider Choir will prepare singers for the high school choir, and we also sing with our high school friends!

7/8 BOYS CHOIR (FA1BCH) All boys are welcome to join the 7th/8th gr a de boys choir. There are no auditions! This is an exciting, energetic class where students improve the fundamentals of singing, sight-reading, and vocal musicianship. Concepts and musical repertoire will be intermediate to advanced. Performance opportunities include- Fall Concert, North Park Concert, Highlander Festival, Pop Concert, Spring Festival Field Trip, All-Region Choir, UIL Solo & Ensemble, UIL Contest, and performances around the campus and community. Raider Choir will prepare singers for the high school choir, and we also sing with our high school friends!


7/8 Treble Chorus
 
This full-year music course emphasizes performance, voice building, and music reading in the context of an all-female ensemble. Students are given the opportunity to compete in Regional Solo and Ensemble Contest, UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest, and Six Flags or Sandy Lakes festivals at the end of the year. Students prepare choral music for performance at four concerts per year, sing in community venues such as Northpark Mall, and participate in the Shakespearean Feast. Students who take 7/8 Chorus should have already taken 6th-grade choir.
