Welcome To McCulloch Intermediate School and Highland Park Middle School
Located on the historic site of the original Highland Park High School, which opened in 1922, the McCulloch Intermediate School and Highland Park Middle School campus has been a cornerstone of HPISD for generations. In 1995, following voter approval of a bond election, the district opened a new shared campus designed to serve students in grades 5–8, with McCulloch Intermediate School serving grades 5 and 6 and Highland Park Middle School serving grades 7 and 8.
Today, MIS and HPMS continue a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, leadership, and student success. Together, the schools provide a supportive and engaging environment where students build the skills, character, and confidence needed for high school and beyond.
