Two important tips for using Google Calendar and other Google apps:
1. Log in using the Chrome browser.
2. Use your school login.
As you may have noticed, the teachers at MIS and HPMS have moved to a new assignment calendar system. The intent was to consolidate all of the assignments into one easy space and eliminate the need for accessing several different teachers’ websites. In the fall of 2014, Highland Park ISD became a Google Apps for Education (GAFE) school system with its own domain. This means we have switched to Google’s browser (Chrome) and Google Apps across the district. It will become increasingly more important for students to be able to access these tools at home.
If they haven’t already, students need to install the Google Internet browser Chrome at home in order to access their Google Drives and district apps. Chrome is a very safe Internet browser that is free of charge. If you like Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, you will like Chrome even more.
