Mrs. Meghan Coates
7th Grade Assistant Principal, Highland Park Middle School
Mrs. Coates is in her 13th year at HPMS, and her 15th year in education. Before joining the HPMS Admin. Team, she taught middle school Spanish for 2 years at Longfellow Middle School in Norman, Oklahoma and 9 years here at HPMS, including 2018-2019 when she won "Teacher of the Year". She was honored in 2023-2024 as the TASSP Region 10 Assistant Principal of the Year!
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!) with a degree in Foreign Language Education in 2009 and earned her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2014.
Mrs. Coates has a wonderful husband, Brandon, two sweet dogs named Pepper & Polly, and a baby girl, Lucy, born in June 2022.

Mrs. Coates firmly believes that college football season is the best season of the year and JD's Chippery cookies are better than any others in the world. She loves all things DisneyWorld (and running half marathons there!) and is a total musical theater nerd.
