Attendance

Regular attendance is an important part of student success. In accordance with state law, students are required to attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered to receive credit. Both excused and unexcused absences count toward this requirement.

Reporting an Absence
If your student will be absent, please notify the appropriate attendance office as soon as possible:

Checking In & Out

• Students arriving late must sign in through the attendance office before going to class. All tardies are recorded on the student's attendance record.
• If a student needs to leave during the school day for an appointment or emergency, parents should send a note with the student that morning stating the reason and time the student needs to leave. Students must sign out through the appropriate office and sign back in if they return to campus. A note from a doctor or dentist may be provided to document a scheduled appointment.
