Orchestra Director named for MIS and HPMS

Sarah Willson has been selected as the new MIS/HPMS Orchestra Director. Willson has been a performing musician for more than a decade, with experience on cello, violin and bass. 
 
Willson received her bachelor's degree in music from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been the Orchestra Director at Lady Bird Johnson Middle School in Irving for the past four years. She has a proven reputation for delivering high-quality instruction and producing superior results in UIL Contest and Sight Reading, All-Region and district events and in chamber music settings. Additionally, she is the associate principal of the Dallas Millennial Orchestra and season cellist in the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving. 
 
Willson is excited to begin her fifth year in the field of education here in HPISD, and MIS/HPMS is pleased to have her as an integral part of the students' music education.
