Hello! My name is Virginia and I am so excited to be joining the MIS team. I was born and raised in Highland Park and graduated from Hockaday in 2012. I continued my education at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Child Studies and Human and Organizational Development, with a focus in Health and Human Services, completing my degree in 2016. Soon after, I moved to Birmingham, AL to join The Fellows Initiative, a Christian leadership development program affiliated with Briarwood Presbyterian Church, working as an administrative assistant and After School Care teacher at a local nonprofit preschool. Eventually, Dallas called me home, and I accepted a position teaching at The Lamplighter School where I worked until deciding to pursue a masters in Elementary Education through SMU. I completed my degree in late 2020, and and thrilled to finally be realizing my dream of teaching as an MIS Raider. In my free time, I enjoy adventuring outside - hiking, swimming or biking - or recharging with a good book!
