I am so excited to be working at MIS! I originally hail from Southern California, but also lived in New Jersey, New York, and the UK. I have always been passionate about story telling and history. When I travel, I enjoy learning about different cultures, looking at architecture, and sampling local cuisine. When I am not teaching, I like to go to cycling classes, walk the Katy Trail, cook, and rewatch the same TV shows over and over! I am a proud Mustang alumna, so I love to attend SMU football and basketball games. 

 

I have been living in Dallas for the past four years. I recently graduated from Southern Methodist University in May of 2024. I earned Bachelor's degrees in Secondary Education and History in 2023. I earned my Master's in Education with a specialization in Special Education from SMU this past May. I currently hold certifications in 4-8 Social Studies, 7-12 Social Studies, Science of Teaching Reading, Special Education, and Educational Pedagogy. I love to learn and am ready to take that passion to the classroom. Please do not hesitate to reach out!
