About Me:
Hello! I am delighted to begin my 7th year teaching 8th grade English Language Arts and Reading at Highland Park Middle School. I have always had a passion for literature and strive to help my students find their passion as well.

Tutorial times are times for students to come in for a reteach, reassessment, check reviews, or a preview of the day.
Google Classroom:
- Google Classroom is the hub for my ELAR class.
- I post lessons, activities, handouts, and notes under each period's class by the start of class every day.
- Digital content will include PDFs of texts, links, recorded lessons, videos, etc. Please note that some content cannot be posted due to copyright.

Syllabus and Curriculum:
- The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, or TEKS, for English/Language Arts have been adopted by TEA, and we will implement this curriculum using the SpringBoard resource from CollegeBoard and other approved resources.
- HPISD Educational Services will post our curriculum and proposed scope and sequence on the HPISD curriculum website.
