Genevieve S. Croft, Theatre Arts

Hello! Welcome back to another school year!

 

This is my 3rd year at McCulloch Intermediate School. I currently teach 5th and 6th Grade Theatre at MIS, and I enjoy every minute! In the past, I have served as a Theatre Arts Educator for 15 years (High School and Middle School).

 

l have worked in  professional and community theaters across the Dallas/Fort Worth area as an actor, director and designer, and for the last 8 years, I have served as an Associate Theatre Critic for John Garcia's The Column. Additionally, I am a certified UIL One Act Play Contest Manager and Adjudicator. This year, I began a new path and opened up my own non-profit community theatre in Midlothian, Texas. I am the President, and Co-Founder of our artistic endeavor. (Back Porch Theatre, Inc.)

 

I am graduate of The University of North Texas, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, and a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Master of Liberal Studies in Theatre Arts. My passion for the performing arts industry extends into Radio, having worked at KNTU-FM (88.1 The One) at UNT as a Drive-Time DJ, and as a news anchor. I have additional experience working with Audacy Radio (formerly CBS RADIO) Dallas (98.7 KLUV-FM) in the Promotions and Programming Departments. 

 

When I am not working on "all things theatrical," I am married to my husband Will, and we have a 13 year old son, Paul, who attends HPMS and plays clarinet in the Wind Ensemble. (We are all vested in the Fine Arts!)

 

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, crafting, cooking, and collecting all things Beatles. I have seen Paul McCartney in concert 10 times!
