This is Mr. K’s fifth year of teaching, but his first in the state of Texas. He grew up in central Kansas and then earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University, where he also played basketball. (Fun fact: Mr. K and the Wildcats made a run to the elite 8 in the NCAA tournament in 2018.) He earned his master’s degree from Wichita State University in 2021.
Mr. K has been married to Jessica for two years. He loves to play golf. In fact, he recently worked the PGA Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, where he met HPISD alumni Scottie Scheffler. He also enjoys watching sports (big Chiefs fan), working out, and playing with their three dogs: Chief, Kobe, and Taylor.
