About Me

Based on the pictures above, you probably already know a little bit about me. I grew up in Chicago and went to Lake Forest Academy before I went on to Texas Tech University (Guns Up). I received my masters in Educational Leadership from SMU.  I’m excited to begin my 14th year teaching 6th grade World Cultures.  Others things you may want to know about me is my favorite food in the world is Chicago Stuffed Pizza and my favorite drink  is Mango Lemonade.

My husband and I have a wonderful son named Zane who is going into 6th grade this year. Outside of my family (and grading papers), my nights, weekends and holidays are filled with travel or planning the next great trip.  Every summer I travel with my students.  We traveled to continents, such as Asia & South America, the Caribbean & Africa to see the great wonders of the world and create life long memories. Recently, we went to China and Peru to explore the Amazon, camp in the Andes Mountains and to hike the Great Wall. This year was my favorite cultural experience, because we were able to learn about the Polynesian Culture. Each day was inspirational and filled with memorable learning and fun. I look forward to having the opportunity to connect to the world with you as well.
