About Me
Based on the pictures above, you probably already know a little bit about me. I grew up in Chicago and went to Lake Forest Academy before I went on to Texas Tech University. I received my masters in Educational Leadership from SMU. I’m excited to begin my 18th year teaching 6th grade World Cultures.
My husband and I have a wonderful son named Zane who is going to be a sophomore this year. Outside of my family (and grading papers), my nights, weekends and holidays are filled with traveling the world and celebrating other cultures. Every summer I travel with my students to learn about other cultures. We have traveled to continents, such as Asia, South America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Islands to see the great wonders of the world and create life long memories. Recently, we went to Oahu and Peru to explore Machu Picchu, and to snorkel with the turtles. This summer was my favorite cultural experience, because we were able to learn about the Polynesian Culture. Each day was inspirational and filled with memorable learning and fun. I look forward to having the opportunity to connect to the world with you as well.
