Semester Courses 8th Grade:
COMMUNICATION APPLICATIONS (SPEECH)– .5 HS CREDIT (MT1SPE) Students enrolled in this class will be expected to identify, analyze, develop, and evaluate communication skills needed for professional and social success in interpersonal situations, group interactions, and personal and professional presentations.
HEALTH – .5 HS CREDIT (PE1HL1) This co-ed course follows the same curriculum as 9th -12th Health. The course is designed to provide accurate health information that will enhance decision-making and quality of life. Units taught are (1) Personal Health, (2) Mental Health, (3) Drugs, (4) Nutrition & Fitness, (5) Non-Communicable Diseases, (6) Family & Social Health, (7) First Aid & CPR.
