I'm thrilled to be teaching World Studies! It is a subject that I am passionate about, and I hope that I can inspire this same interest and love of global studies in our students!

I returned to MIS seven years ago, after a two-year absence. My husband Bruce and I were lucky enough to live in Sydney, Australia from 2010 through 2012. We moved there for Bruce's job, and I was able to work in Sydney as a school counsellor (that's how they spell it!) in the Australian school system. We have four grown children, Remy, Regan, Landry, and Chloe. Our youngest two daughters went through the HPISD system and Bruce and I still live in the neighborhood. Happily, two of our four children are married; two down, two to go! Our eldest daughter, Regan, and her husband, Brian, have two darling children, Madeline (4) and Jack (2 1/2) Donoghue.
I have had several other jobs in HPISD: first as a 6th grade Science teacher, then as a World Studies teacher for 5 years. Before we left for Australia, I was the 7th-grade school counselor at HPMS. I love teaching and I am looking forward to guiding our House of Brodie students as we learn about our great big wonderful world!
