Retesting Procedures

MAJOR ASSESSMENTS:

If your child scores below a 70% on a Major Assessment, he or she will be required to attend tutorials and retake the test for a maximum score of 85%.  Retake tutorials and retest dates will be announced in class.

If your child score between a 70% and an 84%, he or she has the option to retake the test for a maximum score of 85%. Retest dates will be announced in class. It the student's responsibility to contact the teacher immediately after the grade is posted if he/she wants to participate in a reteach or reassessment.

MINOR ASSESSMENTS:

Most content on minor assessments will be tested again on the unit major assessments. If this is the case, grades can be improved (up to an 85) by performing higher on the major assessment. Minor assessment grades will be adjusted accordingly if scores have improved.

If the content will NOT be tested again, minor assessments may be corrected for a higher grade up to an 85. Students will be told if this is the case.
