Special Education
Highland Park ISD is proud of the instructional, behavioral and related services provided on each campus. MIS and HPMS collaborate closely within the campus and with district-level staff members to design overall programming that meets the needs of specific students with disabilities to serve students ages three through 21. For students with visual and auditory impairments, services may begin at birth.
The MIS/HPMS Special Education Departments are committed to being life-long learners. We are dedicated to forming positive partnerships with parents and students, and we have an inclusive philosophy for providing Special Education support that includes a robust variety of services.
