Project Respect

All MIS & HPMS students are welcome to be a part of Project Respect.  The commitment is low with only 5 meetings throughout the school year - meeting from 7:30-7:55 a.m. in the MIS 5/6 (North) Gym.  This is a wonderful chance for students to grow as leaders, interact with similar-minded peers, and learn from high school leaders.

Project Respect is a district-wide initiative led by Highland Park High School Student Council leaders to create a sense of community and an attitude of respect and kindness for everyone.  Elementary, intermediate, and middle school students have the opportunity to meet with these high school leaders to discuss how we can continue to promote inclusivity and respect in our schools and community.  HPHS Student Council members serve as mentors to the younger students.  Through this program, the young leaders are emboldened to serve as leaders on their campus, helping to build new leaders as well as promoting a positive culture district-wide.
