Module 3: Learning & Growing
MIS continues to provide HPISD families and students the nurturing and rigorous academic environment they've come to expect at the elementary level. We challenge students to be creative, curious, high-level, and independent thinkers who are committed to the process of learning.
Academics and an HPISD tailored experience
- Each student has four core academic teachers (English, Math, Science and Social Studies)
- 5th-grade students take a semester of Music, a quarter of Art and a quarter of Theater
- 6th-grade students choose one full-year elective (Band, Orchestra, Choir, Art or Theater)
- All MIS students take PE and Spanish
